TORONTO -- Short story great Alice Munro celebrated her recent Nobel Prize in literature win with fellow acclaimed author Margaret Atwood over the weekend.
Munro has been keeping a low profile since landing the Nobel earlier this month, and the Swedish Academy says she won't be travelling to Stockholm to collect her prize in December because of poor health.
But on Sunday, Atwood took to her Twitter account to post two photos of herself with the 82-year-old Munro in Victoria, B.C.
In the first photo, the two are sitting beside each other on a couch in a hotel room with their arms around each other and smiling for the camera.
"In a secret lair in victoria BC Empress Hotel, Alice Munro and I have a quiet Hooray yesterday," Atwood wrote in the post.
The second photo is in the same setting and shows each of them holding filled champagne glasses.
