MTYP doubles zoo factor in next season's lineup

MANITOBA Theatre for Young People has doubled the amount of zoo it is presenting next season.

The children's troupe has announced it is replacing in its 2012-13 lineup Erth Theatre's Dinosaur Petting Zoo with ZooZoo by Portland's Imago Theatre. ZooZoo, which has been called mask and mime theatre at its best, will run during spring break at the Shaw Performing Arts Centre next March.

Although officially ZooZoo is said to be a better fit in next season's playbill, the change was likely prompted when Dinosaur Petting Zoo was a main attraction at the 2012 Winnipeg International Children's Festival in June.
