New WAG membership a gateway to other galleries

THE Winnipeg Art Gallery has introduced a premium membership that offers free or discounted admission to more than 500 museums and galleries across North America.

The WAG now has the gold North American Reciprocal Museum (NARM) designation. It entitles premium members to benefits at NARM institutions such as admission discounts, gift-shop and restaurant discounts, and special pricing on blockbuster or limited-time exhibitions.

NARM institutions range from the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles and the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis to the Canadian Museum of Civilization in Gatineau and the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa. Premium WAG members also get reciprocal membership to the Art Gallery of Ontario in Toronto.

Regular WAG membership, priced at $55 (individual) or $80 (family), already provides reciprocal membership at a number of Canadian institutions, such as Edmonton's Art Gallery of Alberta and Calgary's Glenbow Museum.
