PRAIRIE Theatre Exchange recorded a surplus of $25,000 last year, the 10th consecutive year the organization has been in the black.
The 2012-13 season was notable for what PTE put on stage -- including its 140th world premiere, Ellen Peterson's The Brink -- and off stage with the completion of its three-year capital campaign to upgrade its Portage Place facility.
The number of subscriptions increased six per cent to 3,512 season ticket-holders. The five-play season, as well as the annual holiday show, was seen by 31,790 patrons, with The Dishwashers being the best draw with a total audience of 5,220 spectators.
