The Book of Mormon here for a week in March 2015

  • Print

The Book of Mormon, one of Broadway's toughest tickets to obtain in recent years, is coming to Winnipeg in 2015 for a one-week engagement at the Centennial Concert Hall, it was announced Monday.

The 2011 Tony Award winner for best musical is a subversively funny, profane tale of naive Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints missionaries sent to Uganda. It's penned by South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, with music by Robert Lopez.

In announcing that The Book of Mormon will be presented at the concert hall March 17-22, 2015, Broadway Across America has assembled a three-play season, that also includes the Winnipeg première of War Horse (June 18- 22, 2014) and the return of Wicked (Aug. 20-30, 2014). Package deals for the three shows are on sale by phone at 1-877-783-4847 or at www.BroadwayAcrossCanada.ca.

Single tickets to The Book of Mormon are not yet available. They will likely go on sale prior to Christmas 2014.
