Bergen on short list for IMPAC Dublin Award

Winnipeg author David Bergen’s The Matter with Morris has been shortlisted for the 2012 IMPAC Dublin Literary Award.

Bergen, the award-winning author of six novels (A Year of Lesser, The Case of Lena S.) and a collection of short stories, is the only Canadian shortlisted for the £100,000 prize. His sixth novel, The Matter with Morris, was shortlisted for the Giller Prize in 2010, won the Carol Shields Winnipeg Book Award and the Margaret Laurence Award for Fiction.

Bergen’s new novel, The Age of Hope, will be published in the fall by Phyllis Bruce Books, HarperCollinsCanada.
