On the NightTable: Ann Rallison
Ann Rallison
Artist and art teacher for the Winnipeg School Division
"I have just finished reading Ruth Sutton's novel The Good Liar, which was published last spring. It is the first book in a planned trilogy. The story is set in Cumbria in the Lake District of England. It's not somewhere I know, but after reading this novel, I want to wander through those villages. There is a diverse array of characters, and one wonders who will appear in the other two books. I also am a fan of the Tudor historical fiction by Philippa Gregory. I finished The Red Queen over the Christmas holidays and am now halfway through The White Queen. I know she takes some licence with historical facts, but I find her enjoyable reading."
