On the Night Table with Helen Halliday

Helen Halliday

General manager, Delta Winnipeg

"I'm in vacation mode right now, so a lighter read has me into Hotel Pastis -- A Novel of Provence, by Peter Mayle. He also wrote A Year in Provence, which was very popular a few years back. I'm halfway through and the pages keep pulling me nicely, with two stories being told. Next I will be finishing A Hug for the Apostle written by Laurie Dennett in the 1980s. I recently saw the movie The Way, which features the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route through France and Spain. I wanted to learn more and happened to mention it to my mom. As she will do, out comes a book she had, and now it is with me to finish."
