"I'm reading The Stop: How the Fight for Good Food Transformed a Neighbourhood and Inspired a Movement by Nick Saul and Andrea Curtis. For a book about the politics of hunger in Canada, it's a surprisingly compelling read, full of inspiring stories from a community in Toronto that set about re-imagining their food bank and ended up changing everything. It's especially relevant here because the model they developed is currently being adapted for Winnipeg through a partnership with NorWest Co-op Community Health Centre."
