Becca Tobin's boyfriend has been found dead.

The 'Glee' actress - who plays Kitty Wilde in the musical TV series - had joined Matt Bendik on a business trip to Philadelphia on Wednesday (07.09.14) but it is currently unclear where she was when the 35-year-old nightclub owner's body was found in their hotel room on Thursday (07.10.14) afternoon by a maid.

According to TMZ, the couple had enjoyed a "normal" night with friends on Wednesday evening and returned to their hotel at some point.

The Philadelphia Medical Examiner would only confirm that Mark's body had been found, but gave no other information.

The businessman - who was "not known as a partier" - ran several major clubs around the US and was Director of Operations at DBA Nightclub in Los Angeles.

The nightspot posted a tribute to Matt outside, with a board reading: "We love you Matt."

Friends are said to be "shocked and devastated" by the news.

Becca, 28, joined 'Glee' for the fourth season as a recurring cast member in her first major acting role, and was promoted to a regular for season five.
