Catherine Zeta-Jones thrilled with Chicago Oscars performance

Catherine Zeta-Jones says it "felt great" to be back on stage performing 'All That Jazz' again.

The 43-year-old actress opened up the musical tributes at this year's Oscars with a performance of the famed song from the 2002 musical film adaptation of the popular 'Chicago' theatre show and admits she was in her element while doing it.

Catherine - who won the Best Supporting Actress gong in 2003 for her role as Velma Kelly in 'Chicago' - said: "I loved it. It was great to be back after 10 years.

"I've done it in some charity performances but nothing with the 24 dancers and I really tried to recreate that."

The Welsh beauty was also thrilled when British singer Adele won the Best Original Score Oscar for her Bond theme 'Skyfall'.

She said: "I was so proud. I was on the stage when she got the trophy. I was thrilled."

As well as Catherine performing 'All That Jazz', Jennifer Hudson belted out 'Dreamgirls' hit 'And I'm Telling You I'm Not Going' before Hugh Jackman then opened the 'Les Miserables' segment by singing Best Original Score-nominated track 'Suddenly'.

The full main cast of 'Les Miserables' - including Anne Hathaway, Russell Crowe, Amanda Seyfried and Eddie Redmayne - then performed medley hit 'One Day More' to close the segment.
