Charlize Theron loved shaved head

Charlize Theron says shaving her head is the most "freeing thing" she's ever done.

The stunning South African actress - who is presenting an award at the Oscars on Sunday (02.24.13) and wowed onlookers in a stunning white peplum Dior gown - has revealed she had no regrets about removing her long blonde locks for her role in 'Mad Max: Fury Road'.

The 37-year-old star said: "It's the most freeing thing. I highly recommend it. I think every woman should do it. I had two huge garbage bags full of hair products. It's so freeing."

The actress admitted that it has taken a long time for her hair to grow back, saying: "This is three months old. It was so short."

Meanwhile, fellow Oscars presenter Reese Witherspoon credited her baby boy Tennessee James, who she welcomed in September, for her luscious long hair on the red carpet that complimented her Louis Vuitton blue dress.

She told Ryan Seacrest on E!'s 'Live From The Red Carpet': "I just had a baby so my hair is really thick. I'm not looking forward to losing it."

The 36-year-old actress previously said she experienced a ''moment of pure joy'' when she held her son for the first time and believes heaven delivered her an angel.
