Drew Barrymore's half-sister has been found dead.

The 'Blended' actress' elder sibling Jessica Barrymore was found dead in her car in National City, California on Tuesday (07.29.14) morning at 6am in a suspected suicide, MailOnline reports.

Jessica - who was to celebrate her 48th birthday tomorrow (07.31..14) - was reportedly found with numerous white pills scattered on the passenger seat of her car.

A woman named Marta Lopez made the discovery when she tried to leave for work in the morning but was unable to get out of her driveway because it was blocked by Miss Barrymore's car, 10News reports.

She is said to have tried to wake Jessica before noticing the bottles of pills and calling the police.

Other witnesses who live in the area where her body was discovered claim her car had been parked there since approximately midnight on Monday (07.28.14).

The cause of death is yet to be determined, but an autopsy is scheduled to take place.

Jessica is the daughter of actor John Drew Barrymore - who is also the father of 39-year-old Drew - and his third wife Nina Wayne.
