Hilary Duff and husband have date nights

Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie have regular date nights.

The 'Cinderella Story' actress and former ice hockey player - who tied the knot in April 2010 - have 11-month-old son Luca together but still set aside time for just each other to keep the romance alive in their marriage.

A close pal told UsMagazine.com: "Her family babysits so they can go on dates. They make time for each other. [They] have sweet nights at home with Luca, cooking dinner and watching movies. They're closer than ever!"

However, Hilary, 25, finds it "hard" to be away from her adorable son and has had to make changes to her lifestyle in order to ease herself back into work.

She recently said: "It's hard to be away [from Luca]. I did a guest spot on 'Raising Hope' [and] I was so happy to be on a set again ... but it was hard. I also had a day of [thinking], 'I need to get home. What am I doing away from my baby?'

"It's such an adjustment. It's a huge change and it took a few months for me to be like, 'OK, this is me now, this is who I am now, this is how I do things now.' "

The actress is often spotted out with baby Luca, taking him with her to numerous social meetings, and as his first birthday approaches Hilary is already considering having another child.

She said: "Mike and I are literally so obsessed with Luca. He's perfect! We should just be one and done. But I think once your kid starts getting older you miss that baby phase and you go in for round two."
