Hilary Duff's son is walking

Hilary Duff is thrilled her son has started walking.

The 25-year-old actress - who has been married to her husband Mike Comrie for two-and-a-half years - has revealed their 11-month-old child Luca started walking while on holiday in Hawaii last week.

The singer shared her excitement with her fans on Twitter on Thursday (02.28.13), writing: "Well I officially have a walking baby on my hands! It's hilarious...the wobble makes it look like he's 3 drinks in!"

Hilary recently credited her young son with strengthening her marriage to her former ice hockey star beau.

She said: "[Mike is] not going to do everything the way I would do it -- and vice versa -- but we just want the best for Luca. It's helped me appreciate Mike's role in his life and that we're doing things with the most love that we can."

The 'Raising Hope' star got back to her pre-pregnancy weight through a combination of exercises but boxing proved to be the most successful in shifting the pounds.

Her trainer Gabe Johns previously said: "Her main love is boxing. We skip rope and run boxing intervals with one minute of rest between. It's important to find an activity you love so that you look forward to the workout.

"Hilary comes ready to train with a smile on her face because she loves the challenge of something new.

"She was really looking for a workout that was challenging and to be pushed to the limits of what she could do physically."
