Holly Madison names daughter Rainbow

Holly Madison has named her baby girl Rainbow Aurora Rotella.

The Playboy model turned actress welcomed her first child into the world at 11.59am on Tuesday morning (03.05.13) at a Las Vegas hospital with her fiance Pasquale Rotella by her side and the couple have now revealed the unusual moniker for the baby.

She told E! News: "I wanted to give my daughter a unique name. Growing up, there was a girl in my school named Rainbow and I was so envious of that name. I thought it was so pretty and unique!"

Pasquale, 38, recently revealed he was overjoyed following the birth.

He said: "I've never been more in love than I am today as, after months of waiting, I finally was able to hold my daughter for the first time. Holly and I are looking forward to spending some quiet time with our baby and enjoying our new family. I'm truly the luckiest man in the world."

Meanwhile, Holly, 33, recently claimed her dogs have helped her prepare for raising a child.

She said: "I've been critical with myself about the way I'm handling my dogs, and 'am I firm enough with my dogs and strict enough with my dogs and doing the best thing for them?' I think it's definitely a good preparation for a child. You can't compare a pet to a child, obviously, because it's such a huge difference, but we all have friends that we've seen take on a pet they can't handle.

"It definitely is a responsibility, and a hurdle you have to pass before being ready for a kid."
