Holly Madison welcomes baby girl

Holly Madison is "overjoyed" after giving birth to a baby girl.

The Playboy model turned actress welcomed her first child into the world at 11.59am on Tuesday morning (03.05.13) at a Las Vegas hospital with her fiance Pasquale Rotella by her side.

The former 'Girls Next Door' star is yet to name her daughter, who weighs 7 pounds 2 ounces, but told In Touch magazine: "Pasquale and I welcomed our first child, a baby girl! We haven't yet decided on a name for her but we couldn't be any more overjoyed than at this moment."

Pasquale, 38, added: "I've never been more in love than I am today as, after months of waiting, I finally was able to hold my daughter for the first time. Holly and I are looking forward to spending some quiet time with our baby and enjoying our new family. I'm truly the luckiest man in the world."

The 33-year-old blonde beauty checked into hospital on Monday night.

Holly recently claimed her dogs have helped her prepare for raising a child.

She said: "I've been critical with myself about the way I'm handling my dogs, and 'am I firm enough with my dogs and strict enough with my dogs and doing the best thing for them?' I think it's definitely a good preparation for a child. You can't compare a pet to a child, obviously, because it's such a huge difference, but we all have friends that we've seen take on a pet they can't handle.

"It definitely is a responsibility, and a hurdle you have to pass before being ready for a kid."
