Jennie Garth's weight loss challenge

Jennie Garth finds it "challenging" to maintain her weight loss.

The 40-year-old actress dropped a staggering 30 pounds after splitting from her ex-husband Peter Facinelli last year - with whom she has daughters Luca, 15, Lola, 10, and six-year-old Fiona - and has since set herself a strict regime to help her keep in shape.

She told People: "Maintenance is definitely challenging. It's something you have to do daily. You have to remind yourself what your priorities are, and remind yourself about staying healthy and living a healthy life."

In addition to her healthy diet - which includes the occasional bite of her "weakness", white chocolate - the 'Beverly Hills, 90210' star undergoes regular exercise sessions to help preserve her trim figure.

She added: "Every day, I try to schedule something in, whether it's hiking with my dog or jogging or going to the gym. Those are the things I'm focused on right now."

Jennie is said to be dating Big Gigantic drummer Jeremy Salkden and has become smitten with the musician, reportedly admitting she is falling in love with him.

A source who saw the blonde beauty at one of Jeremy's concerts last month previously said: "They were all over each other. When Jeremy's band Big Gigantic took the stage, Jennie was as excited as a teenybopper, clapping and jumping up and down with the music. No question they're a couple - and it looks really serious.

"Jennie told me, 'I never thought I'd fall in love again, but it's happening, and I couldn't be more excited!' "
