Josh Duhamel excited about fatherhood

Josh Duhamel is so excited about becoming a dad.

The 40-year-old actor and his Black Eyed Peas singer wife Fergie are expecting their first child together and Josh revealed seeing the ultrasound has made it more real for him.

He told Yahoo! omg!: "It's very exciting. Seeing that ultrasound is unlike anything you've ever seen. You're like, 'Wow, it's mine,

"I think that I've always had an affinity for kids. There's something about me and kids that just clicks.

"I don't know if it's because I am a kid, but it does prepare you whenever you're around them.

While Josh has had plenty of experience caring for his friend's children and nieces and nephews, he admitted it will be very different to have his own child.

He explained: " I've got nieces and nephews and all my friends have kids. All that stuff is a learning experience for when it actually happens, but I don't think you're ever truly prepared until it's your own."

Fergie, 37 - whose real name is Stacy Ferguson - revealed she and her 'Safe Haven' actor husband are expecting their first child just last week.

She tweeted: "Josh & Me & BABY makes three!!!! #mylovelybabybump (sic)"

Fergie previously joked she and her hunky spouse were enjoying trying for a baby.

She said: "We'll be happy when it happens. It's not really in our hands but trying is great for our relationship."
