Nicki Minaj almost suffers wardrobe malfunction

  • Print

Nicki Minaj almost suffered a wardrobe malfunction at the MTV Video Music Awards last night (08.24.14).

The 'Anaconda' star had sang her raunchy hit single, but there wasn't enough time for a full costume change before the next part of her performance, leaving her clutching her top to retain her modesty.

As she returned to the stage to sing 'Bang Bang' with Jessie J and Ariana Grande, her dress came close to revealing her body, and she had to perform while holding up her black gown to make sure it didn't open.

Elsewhere on the show, Beyonce swept the board with four prizes, and she was joined by her husband Jay Z and two-year-old daughter Blue Ivy as she was honored with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.

The 'Drunk in Love' singer's performance also impressed as she performed an impressive medley covering the entirety of her recent self-titled album in an amazing 15-minute set.

Taylor Swift also shone as she sang her new single 'Shake It Off', while Miley Cyrus stepped out of the spotlight to allow her homeless friend Jesse to accept her Video of the Year award.
