ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates -- Even though Rihanna was dressed appropriately for a mosque, officials whisked her out for misbehaving.

Overseers of the Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi say they asked Rihanna to leave after she posed for fashion-style photos that they felt violated rules on the "status and sanctity of the mosque." Rihanna was dressed in black with her hair covered, posing against the mosque's white marble. She was in an area normally off limits for visitors.

Rihanna has not commented on the incident. She played a show in Abu Dhabi on Saturday.
