Rihanna granted restraining order
Rihanna has obtained a restraining order against an obsessed fan.
The 'Stay' singer - who is currently rehearsing for her upcoming tour in Los Angeles - secured legal protection against Steveland Barrow, who was arrested last Thursday (02.21.13) after breaking into her neighbor's home, which he mistook for the 25-year-old popstar's property.
A source told gossip website TMZ.com that the singer feared for her safety after the male fan told police officers that he was invited to her home and allegedly slept in a bed, which he wrongly believed to be hers. He also stole some items from the house.
A judge granted her a temporary protection order, prohibiting Barrow from coming within 100 yards of Rihanna, her workplaces and her properties.
According to the singer's lawyer, Barrow has been released from custody and is nowhere to be found.
Rihanna previously had a restraining order against her on/off boyfriend Chris Brown after he beat her in 2009.
The couple reunited late last year and she recently opened up about why she decided to give their relationship another chance.
She said: "Of course everybody has their opinion about him, because of what he's done. That will always be there. But he made a mistake, and he's paid his dues. He's paid so much. And I know that's not a place he would ever want to go back to. And sometimes people need support and encouragement, instead of ridicule and criticism and bashing."
