Selena Gomez: 'Spring Break is crazy'
Selena Gomez says Spring Break is "the craziest thing I ever experienced".
The actress witnessed college students taking part in the debauchery of Spring Break as she filmed the movie 'Spring Breakers' and admitted she was shocked by what goes on at the annual college vacation.
She told MTV News: "That's the craziest thing I've ever experienced.
"I know we've never been on spring break, so I've never actually been to motel parties where you hop to each room. That's what this was."
Co-star Ashley Benson admitted she too was gobsmacked by what she saw other girls doing.
She explained: "We would literally be doing takes, and we were surrounded by real spring breakers. We were kind of thrown into this whole thing and just -- I've never seen anything like it. Literally, girls would be making out and their clothes would come off, and I was like, 'Oh God, the bottoms!' And then they'd come off. [I was thinking], I don't even know what I'm doing here."
Meanwhile, Selena previously admitted making the transition from Disney star to playing a college student gone wild in 'Spring Breakers', which features drugs, sex and violence, was "weird".
She said: "I am getting a little bit older, so I wanted to push myself and kind of get into a little bit more of an indie world. And it was a really great experience for me. And at the same time it has been, of course, a little awkward, but great.
"Honestly, it's been a weird transition. You never really know what's right or wrong and you can only do the best you can."
