Taylor Swift has long-term love with her cat

Taylor Swift's longest relationship has been with her cat.

The pop star loves her cute Scottish Fold kitty Meredith - a rare breed which boasts droopy ears and can sell for up to $1,000 - and she much prefers a night in stroking her pussy than spending time with a guy.

She said: "Meredith is such a cute cat - she looks like an owl. She's so chilled out. She's not impressed by anything. It's the one long-term relationship that I've had.

"I don't carry her in a purse or take her out to restaurants or anything like that, though. I'm not that kind of cat owner."

Taylor recently split from her boyfriend Harry Styles after their whirlwind romance came to an abrupt end in January and all her other relationships, which include romances with Jake Gyllenhaal and John Mayer, have eventually fizzled out .

The 'I Knew You Were Trouble' hitmaker is so obsessed with cats she often spends her spare time watching various video clips of furry felines on the internet and she even adds photos of cats to her pictures.

She told Top of the Pops magazine: "I also like watching YouTube videos of kittens and the app CatPaint, where you add cats to photographs. I CatPaint all my pictures."
