The Rock's 'crazy' Herculean diet
Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson eats "six to seven times a day" on his "crazy diet".
The 'G.I. Joe: Retaliation' star is set to play mythological Greek hero Hercules on the big screen and he is currently on an intensive training regime which means he is eating up to seven meals a day in preparation for the role.
Speaking to BANG Showbiz at the London premiere for 'G.I. Joe' at the Empire Cinema in Leicester Square, he said: "In terms of training, it all depends on what I'm doing that day. It all depends on what the goal is. Right now I'm prepping for 'Hercules' so the diet is a crazy diet. I eat six to seven times a day."
The 40-year-old wrestler-turned-actor admits his diet, which mainly consists of protein-heavy lean meats and rice, is dull.
He added: "A lot of it is fish or carbohydrates. It's so boring!"
Dwayne may be known for his intimidating physique and tough action roles on screen, but the actor couldn't be more "gentle" in real life, according to his 'G.I. Joe' co-star Lee Byung-hun.
The hardman - who will defend his WWE title at 'Wrestlemania XXIX' on April 7 - said: "He's so big. He looks so tough and rough, but he was not in person. He was so kind and gentle. He was a very generous person."
Other stars who walked the red carpet at the premiere included Adrianne Palicki, D.J. Cotrona, Ray Stevenson, Jonathan Pryce, Elodie Yung and 'G.I. Joe: Retaliation' director Jon M. Chu.
