Chicago Food Film Fest puts Perogy! on menu

Perogy! is on the menu at the Chicago Food Film Festival.

The locally produced documentary, written and directed by Tammy Marlowe Johnson, has been named an official selection of the Windy City’s 2012 food-film fest, Winnipeg-based Nüman Films announced Tuesday.

The half-hour film is a whimsical exploration of the cultural importance and family-tradition appeal of the simple and delicious Ukrainian favourite.

The Chicago Food Film Festival runs Nov. 15-17. Perogy! can be seen locally on MTS Winnipeg On Demand.
