Oscar-nominated director dating former Winnipegger

DARREN Aronofsky was nominated for an Oscar for directing Black Swan but he’s better known, we’d say, for getting dumped by Rachel Weisz when she moved in with Daniel Craig. But now the N.Y. Daily News says Aronofsky has found new love — in Montreal. She is Brandon Milbradt, an independent producer. Born in Winnipeg as Brandi-Ann Milbradt, she and her ex-hubby Phil Price have had some success with Philms Pictures, working their way up from a low-budget movie, Hatley High, to the short-lived U.S. TV series The Business and The Festival. More projects are in the pipeline. She and Aronofsky turned up together at a film festival in Oman recently, says the paper. She’s 34, he’s 43.
