Craving more Carrie navel-gazing? You may get your wish!
Break out your Manolo Blahniks and forget everything you've ever learned about feminism: Sarah Jessica Parker told MTV there could be another Sex and the City movie on the horizon -- although it might be an adaptation of Candace Bushnell's Sex and the City prequel, The Carrie Diaries.
"I think it always comes down to story, and what is the story people want to tell," Parker said at the Cannes Film Festival in France this week. "Obviously, I feel proprietary in the best possible way about that entire franchise, as it were, but I think there are lots of talented storytellers and, obviously, lots of talented actors who might be a part of it. I think, like anything, you base your opinion on material and content, and I think that would be the only way for any of us to have an opinion."
Oh, yes, anyone who saw Sex and the City 2 could tell that story and character development were of the utmost importance -- though still slightly less important than hideous wardrobes, xenophobic dialogue and cringeworthy puns.
The 46-year-old actress also implied that, despite SATC 2's scathing reviews, there have been talks about another Sex and the City sequel.
"I think there is perhaps one more small, important story to tell," Parker said. "Whether or not we choose to do that, and when we choose to do that, remains, obviously, the unknown, but it's nice to ponder."
