Earth to (Veronica) Mars: here's your cheque!

  • Print

111The duo launched a Kickstarter account on March 13 with the stated goal of raising $2 million within 30 days to help fund the re-launch of their Mars vehicle; within a few hours of the campaign's launch, fans and supporters had kicked the total beyond the $1-million mark.

The Thomas/Bell plan calls for the Veronica Mars movie to begin shooting this summer with the aim of being in theatres early in 2014. Veronica Mars, which aired for three seasons (2004-07) on UPN and its successor, the WB, starred Bell as a high school student who moonlights as a private investigator (her father, played by Canadian Flashpoint star Enrico Colantoni, was in the P.I. business).
