Who's even interested?
LAST year "reality" TV starlet Brandi Glanville claimed to have had a roll in the hay with actor Gerard Butler, and she rated him "11 out of 10." He, when asked about it, responded "who's Brandi Glanville?"
Now he tells Howard Stern they did indeed hook up. And he explains that flippant response:
They met at a beach party and "had a little fun" one afternoon, he said, but later he issued the "who's Brandi Glanville?" line "because one, I didn't know her last name, and two, I didn't know she was a celebrity, and I didn't know she was going to (bad word) tell people about it."
He's 43. she's 40.
The One... for now
MORE Butler: A reporter from extratv.com asked the actor if he's getting serious about his current girlfriend, Romanian model Madalina Ghenea. Could she be The One?
His answer: "She's amazing. I'm having fun. I'm very lucky, she's a great girl."
In other words, "no".
A Kink in the plans
JAMES Franco says he lost some endorsement deals because he produced a documentary, Kink, about a hardcore-porn studio, and another, Interior: Leather Bar, about a gay bar.
The films "did get a lot of praise," he told Attitude mag, but there was a downside:
"I was supposed to do a commercial with this company and they pulled out because they... didn't like the subject matter of the films. It was a champagne company. You'd think they'd be grown up enough..."
He lost a car-company gig, too, he added.
He's 34.
Wilde romance
OLIVIA Wilde tells Marie Claire mag that when she first met Jason Sudeikis, now her fiancé, she wasn't optimistic.
"I thought, 'He won't be interested in me; I'm not a contender'... He's a brilliant actor with a brain like lightning. I thought 'I'm not beautiful enough or his type'."
They met in 2011, on the set of Saturday Night Live.
She's 29. He's 37.
Coal miner's dater
ELIN Nordegren, formerly married to Tiger Woods, is dating West Virginia coal zillionaire Chris Cline, says the N.Y. Post They're neighbours in Florida. (What, you thought a zillionaire would live in West Virginia?)
He's 53, she's 33.
A new Day
THE rock star life: With Green Day about to resume their tour, Billie Joe Armstrong has told Rolling Stone what led to his on-stage guitar-smashing episode in Las Vegas in September, when he was babbling about not being Justin Bieber, or something.
Turns out - who knew? - he was deeply into prescription drugs, plus booze. His agent and his wife sent him to rehab.
"I couldn't predict where I was going to end up at the end of the night," he told the mag. "I'd wake up in a strange house on a couch ... It was a complete blackout."
He's 41.
Chariot of the Gaga
SURE, Lady Gaga's hip surgery forced her to cancel much of her world tour, but nothing can stop her from seeking world domination through publicity.
She now has a convertible reclining wheelchair with gold-plated spokes on the wheels.
The N.Y. Post says she hired design-world star Ken Borochove, and he gave "the chariot" a black leather seat, a removable canopy, etc. No cost figure was given.
Sing it, Tina
REPORTERS (and columnists) are still trying to milk something out of Taylor Swift complaining about the joke Tina Fey and Amy Poehler made at the Golden Globes.
And it worked: prompted by a scribe, Tina claimed the other day that she's thinking about writing a musical number, Swift-style, about the whole squabble. "I could do a song. I could do a whole song about it."
Game over
TO the surprise of nobody, Miley Cyrus and Hunger Games star Liam Hemsworth have ended their engagement. He's gone home to Australia.
There have been he's-fooling-around rumours for month, we've seen sulky behavior from her, and the internet has been full of stuff about her being a party animal and him not so much.
She's 20. He's 23.
She's a writer... honest
MOMS! Want to keep your family "chic and healthy"? Jessica Alba can help.
She has written a book on exactly that topic, and is now out doing the publicity rounds for it. It's called The Honest Life, sort of in parallel with The Honest Company, which she started last year to sell "natural and eco-friendly products" for the home.
The book is billed as "Jessica's collection of tips and tricks for making natural living fun, real, and stylish" and she says it will make your loved ones "chic and healthy".
