Andersen to play the Burt in February

Folk festival favourite Matt Andersen will make a winter foray to Winnipeg for a concert at the Burton Cummings Theatre.

The New Brunswick singer-songwriter will perform Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014. Tickets, $32 including fees, go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster and at 11 a.m. at the Winnipeg Folk Festival Music Store.

Andersen, who performed at the 2011 and 2012 Winnipeg Folk Festivals is in the midst of recording a new album, Weightless. His last album, Coal Mining Blues, won three Maple Blues Awards in 2012 as well as received a British Blues Award nomination.
