Two-time national bluegrass banjo champion Tony Furtado will bring his fast fingers to the Winnipeg Folk Festival and Winnipeg Folk Festival Music Camp this summer.
Furtado’s appearance at the Folk Fest, which runs July 10-14 at Birds Hill Park, will be his festival debut.
The banjo and guitar virtuoso has taught in the U.S., Canada and Great Britain and will focus on banjo and bottleneck slide guitar at the camp. Furtado will appear Saturday, July 6 on the banks of the Assiniboine River at the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Winnipeg, 6-3 Wellington Cr.
