Counting Crows and The Wallflowers, both California bands, will perform at the Centennial Concert Hall July 10 as part of a 22-city North American summer tour, it was announced Monday.
Tickets, $66.25 - $98, go on sale to the general public starting April 26 at Ticketmaster.ca. Ticket-buyers will also receive a copy of Counting Crows’ new live album Echoes of The Outlaw Roadshow.
Counting Crows made a big splash with its 1993 debut album August and Everything After, which sold seven million copies on the popularity of its single Mr. Jones. It was the fastest selling release since Nirvana’s Nevermind.
Both bands are just coming off an arena tour of Australia and Europe with headliner Eric Clapton. The Wallflowers, fronted by Jakob Dylan, won two Grammy Awards in 1998 for its single One Headlight. Its latest album Glad All Over was released last fall.
