Canada’s Stephen Fearing and Northern Ireland’s Andy White met at the Winnipeg Folk Festival 16 years ago, and an instant friendship was struck.
That friendship turned into a musical partnership and now, the duo known as Fearing & White is bringing its sophomore album, Tea and Confidences, to the West End Cultural Centre on April 26.
Tickets are $22 door or $17 in advance at Ticketmaster, the WECC, Music Trader and Winnipeg Folk Festival Music Store.
Halifax-based Fearing is a multiple Juno-winner who has become a fixture of the international roots and folk scene thanks to both his solo performances and his work with Blackie and the Rodeo Kings.
Originally from Belfast and based in Melbourne, Australia, White has been honoured with many of Ireland’s most prestigious songwriting awards. He has collaborated with Peter Gabriel, Sinead O’Connor and Neil and Tim Finn.
The pair has over 20 albums between them, including their 2011 self-titled debut as Fearing & White.
