Folk Fest adds concerts at WECC

The Winnipeg Folk Festival just ended, but the concert series has added some more dates at the West End Cultural Centre.

All tickets go on sale Friday at the Winnipeg Folk Festival Music Store and Ticketmaster.

  • Irish singer-songwriter James Vincent McMorrow, who performed on the festival’s mainstage, will play the WECC Aug. 9. Tickets are $20 plus taxes and fees.
  • Toronto folk-pop artist Royal Wood, who also played the fest this year, will support his new album, We Were Born to Glory, on Oct. 15, with tickets selling for $20.
  • Local singer-songwriter Del Barber returns home on Oct. 26 in support of his new album, Headwaters. Tickets are $17.
  • The prolific and quirky pop songsmith Hawksley Workman is back on Oct. 29. Tickets are $35.
  • Vancouver electronic-Celtic-reggae fusion act Delhi 2 Dublin is on Nov. 6. Tickets are $27.50.
