Four Manitoba artists vie for Indian Summer Music Awards
Four aboriginal Manitoba artists are nominated for Indian Summer Music Awards.
Vince Fontaine’s Indian City project is up for five awards in the best contemporary/modern instrumental, pop and rock categories while David St. Germain has two songs nominated in the country music category where he faces off against two songs by Sagkeeng’s Ali Fontaine and one from Winnipeg’s Don Amero.
The ISMAs will be handed out in Milwaukee on Sept. 8 during the Indian Summer Festival, one of the largest aboriginal festivals in North America.
