George Thorogood and The Destroyers will come to Winnipeg on May 10.

A Winnipeg date next spring has been included in George Thorogood and the Destroyers’ 40 Years Strong tour.

The band, which played its first gig Dec. 1, 1973 on the campus of the University of Delaware, has a new album scheduled for early next year, just in time for a May 10, 2014 date at the Burton Cummings Theatre.

Tickets, $39.25-$85.25, go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster.
