Gwar at Garrick on Nov. 17 for bloody good time

It should be a bloody good time when Gwar returns to town.

The costumed metal monsters will appear at the Garrick Centre on Nov. 17 for a show with Devildriver and Cancer Bats. Tickets for the gig go on sale Friday for $42 at Ticketmaster.

Gwar is known for its theatrical shows, which feature the band dressed as giant monsters while showering the crowd in homemade blood, guts and other bodily fluids.

The concert will be the first Winnipeg date since the death last year of guitarist Flattus Maximus (Cory Smoot) of a blood clot brought on by pre-existing coronary artery disease.
