Lamb of God cancels, singer still in Prague prison

With Lamb of God vocalist Randy Blythe still incarcerated in a Prague prison, the Richmond, Va., thrash metal band has been forced to cancel its upcoming North American tour with animated group Dethklock.

The 34-date tour was set to stop at the Winnipeg Convention Centre on Aug. 7. Ticket refunds are available at point of purchase.

Blythe was arrested in the Czech Republic on June 28 and charged with manslaughter for the death of 19-year-old fan, Daniel Nosek. Police allege Nosek hit his head on a concrete floor after being pushed offstage by Blythe at a 2010 Lamb of God show. Nosek died 14 days later.

Blythe has posted bail but his release from jail has been denied because authorities worry the singer would not return to the country for his trial.
