Little Miss Higgins, Winnipeg 5 to play WECC

  • Print

Little Miss Higgins is bringing her beloved Winnipeg 5 home for a gig at the West End Cultural Centre on Friday, Nov. 15.

The Canadian country/blues powerhouse teamed up with five fine fellows from Manitoba who you might know as The F-Holes. She renamed them the Winnipeg 5 and holed them up in a freezing-cold barn on a bison ranch in rural Manitoba to record her latest album, Bison Ranch Recording Sessions. (It wasn’t a hostage situation, despite how it sounds.)

Show starts at 8 p.m.; doors at 7:15 p.m. Advance tickets are $15, available at the WECC, Ticketmaster, Winnipeg Folk Festival Music Store and Music Trader. Tickets $20 at the door.
