Juno nominee Daniel Romano performs at the News Café

Daniel Romano will drop by the Winnipeg Free Press News Café on Friday, March 28 at 3 p.m. to chat with Free Press music writer Jen Zoratti about his latest album, the Polaris Music Prize-nominated Come Cry With Me, which is up for Roots & Traditional Album of the Year: Solo.

Romano, who also fronts the Welland, Ont. rock act Attack in Black, launched his career as a solo artist with Daniel, Fred & Julie — a 2009 collaboration with Fred Squire and Julie Doiron, He’s since released three acclaimed solo albums, including 2010’s Workin’ for the Music Man and 2011’s Sleep Beneath the Willow, which was longlisted for the Polaris Music Prize.

Romano will be performing at the Windsor Hotel on Friday, March 28 at 10 p.m. as part of JunoFest. Watch him perform The One That Got Away live at Bonnaroo below.
