Skydiggers perform at the News Café

  • Print

One of Canada's most beloved and enduring bands is dropping by the Winnipeg Free Press News Café to kick off their latest tour and unveil their newest (old) member.

The Skydiggers will play a pair of shows at the West End Cultural Centre on Friday, May 2, and Saturday, May 3, featuring the return of singer/songwriter/guitarist Peter Cash.

Cash left the indie favourite back in 1995 and has spent most of his time on stage and in the studio since as part of the Cash Brothers, with brother Andrew. Andrew Cash is now an NDP MP for Toronto's Davenport riding.

The band will sit down for an interview -- and perhaps play a couple of tunes -- at the News Café on Friday at 1 p.m. Fans are encouraged to come out and watch, listen and even ask a question or two.

The event will be livestreamed here.
