Toronto’s Polaris Music Prize-winning hardcore punk act F---ed Up is bringing its critically acclaimed fourth album, Glass Boys, to the West End Cultural Centre on Sept. 23.
Tickets are $18 and go on sale Friday, Aug. 1 via Ticketfly.com.
Buzzed-about surf rock outfit Alvvays — whose new self-titled album just debuted in the Top 10 at iTunes in Canada, the Top 20 Billboard New Artist and the Top 10 New Alternative at Billboard — will also be on the bill.
Released in June via Arts & Crafts, Glass Boys follows 2011’s rock opera David Comes to Life and 2008’s Polaris-winning Chemistry of Common Life. More direct but no less complex, the new record sees F---ed Up trying to reconcile teenage punk-rock ideals with adult responsibilities.
