Warm up your ears with river trail performers
If you thought the Assiniboine River warming huts were only good for warming up skaters, wait until Louis Riel Day weekend.
Thanks to Manitoba Music, the innovative river trail shelters will rock with the diverse sounds of homegrown talent Feb. 17 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The musical lineup includes Red Moon Road (acoustic folk and roots), singer-songwriter JD Edwards, fiddle player Melissa St. Goddard, up-and-coming roots singer Haley Carr and jazz group The Lucas Sader Project.
The Forks will also be hosting an on-ice dance party at the Big City warming hut, featuring the turntable artistry of DJ Hunnicutt and DJ Co-op.
