Jury finishes second day of deliberation in trial of Fla. man charged with loud music killing

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Jurors have gone home after a second day of deliberations in the trial of a Florida man charged with fatally shooting a teen following an argument over loud music.

The 12 jurors left for the night on Thursday after deliberating for more than 11 hours over two days. They will resume deliberations Friday morning.

Michael Dunn is charged with first-degree murder, though jurors could also consider second-degree murder and manslaughter as options for a conviction.

Dunn claims he shot 17-year-old Jordan Davis, of Marietta, Ga., in self-defence outside a Jacksonville convenience store in 2012. But prosecutors told jurors Dunn shot the teen because he felt disrespected by Davis. Davis had the music in his SUV turned back up after a friend complied with Dunn's request to turn the volume down.
