Bombers go big-league with Cochrane halftime gig

IT will be a Victory Day for football fans on June 27 as Tom Cochrane will perform during the halftime show of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers first regular-season CFL game at Investors Group Field.

Cochrane, a seven-time Juno Award winner and Canadian Music Hall of Famer who was born in Lynn Lake, is known for such hits like Life is a Highway and Big League.

"With his Manitoba roots, there's no better way to celebrate all that's great about our province than with rock legend Tom Cochrane," Garth Buchko, the Bombers' president and CEO, said Wednesday in a release.

Single-game tickets for Blue Bombers games go on sale Saturday, June 1, through Ticketmaster or by calling the Bombers' ticket office, 1-855-BOMBERS.
