Costumed Gaga fans greeted by the singer
BUENOS AIRES, Argentina -- Fans of Lady Gaga turned out in all sorts of costumes outside the stadium where she was preparing for a concert Friday night, and they were rewarded with a brief appearance.
Lady Gaga greeted the crowd wearing jeans and a T-shirt and long red hair as she entered the stadium. It was nothing like the pop star image she projects on stage. Three burly bodyguards kept her well beyond the fans' reach.
The Grammy-winning star also was expected to receive an award Friday evening from the city of Buenos Aires, which has named her an official "guest of honour."
Lady Gaga's Born This Way Ball tour is wrapping up its Latin America leg. She'll perform next in Santiago, Chile; Lima, Peru, and Asuncion, Paraguay.
