Country's Roy Clark to play McPhillips Station in fall

YEE haw, the former host of Hee Haw is coming to town.

Country artist and comedian Roy Clark is returning to town for a show Sept. 24 at McPhillips Station Casino. Tickets are $44.50 and $55, on sale July 12 at Ticketmaster.

Clark has been active in the music business since the 1950s and is a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Grand Ole Opry. The 79-year-old also dabbled in acting and comedy: he played a recurring character on The Beverly Hillbillies, co-hosted the variety show Hee Haw with Buck Owens and appeared in several movies.

McPhillips Station Casino has also booked two other veteran acts:

-- Vocal group the Lettermen, best known for a string of singles in the 1960s and '70s, including When I Fall in Love, Come Back Silly Girl and Hurt So Bad, is at the casino on Sept. 12. Tickets for the show are $36.50 and $44.50, on sale July 5 at Ticketmaster.

-- Grammy-winning country rock group the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band will celebrate the 40th anniversary of its landmark triple album, Will the Circle Be Unbroken, on Oct. 11 at the casino. Tickets are $38.25 and $55, on sale July 13 at Ticketmaster.
