Guns N' Roses bring Democracy to Winnipeg

NOW that Guns N' Roses has finally released Chinese Democracy, the band has an excuse to tour.

And that tour is stopping in Winnipeg.

The Los Angeles hard rock group, featuring lone remaining original member Axl Rose, will bring its Chinese Democracy Tour to the MTS Centre on Jan. 13. Tickets go on sale Friday for $49.50, $69.50 and $89.50 at Ticketmaster.

The Winnipeg show is the first of a 13-date Canadian tour.

The seven-member band last played the city in December 2006. The group released Chinese Democracy in November 2008, 17 years after its last albums, the double set Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II.
