  • Print

SUMMER has ended on a good note for some local musicians.

Vince Fontaine's Indian City project won twice at the Indian Summer Music Awards in Milwaukee Saturday, while Don Amero heard his name called once.

Indian City won awards for best pop song for the title track off the Supernation album and Stand was named best rock song. The band also performed during the awards gala.

Singer-songwriter Amero's song Right Where I Wanna Be was named best country song. The Indian Summer Festival is one of the largest aboriginal festivals in North America.
